Take our free placement test — progressive questions from A1 to C1 that take 10-15 minutes. You'll get your estimated level and a class recommendation. No sign-up, instant results.
Are classes online or in-person? +
All classes — group and private — are online via Zoom. This allows us to teach students anywhere in the world, not just in Germany. All you need is internet and headphones.
What's the difference between group and private lessons? +
Group (€260/module): 4-6 students, 2x per week, 3 months. Great for steady progress and interaction. Private (from €40/h): tailored lessons on your schedule, focused on your needs. For private lessons, you submit your availability and we confirm the schedule before payment. See plans and pricing.

All our teachers are certified (TELC, Goethe) with 10+ years of experience teaching German to foreigners. They understand the real challenges learners face — because they live in Germany and work with students from all over the world. Marco, co-founder and TELC examiner, has lived in Berlin for 23 years and trained over 500 students. Meet each teacher.
Which exams does Berlinguas prepare for? +
We prepare for TELC, DTZ, Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, ÖSD, and fide. Our prep courses include mock exams, Sprechen and Schreiben training in the official format, and focus on your weak areas. 98% TELC pass rate.
How does payment work? +
Payment is online via credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay (Stripe). For group classes, you pay and secure your spot. For private lessons, you first submit your availability, we confirm the schedule, then send the payment link. See our terms & conditions for cancellation details.
Is there a contract or automatic renewal? +
No. There's no automatic renewal — neither for group nor private. Group: you pay the module (3 months) and decide whether to continue. Private: on demand, no long-term commitment. Free cancellation with 24h notice for private lessons. Details in our terms.
